When St Brendan’s Choir was working towards a £2,000 fundraising target, Klearway Junk pledged to contribute the remaining £1,000 once the choir had raised the first £1,000 themselves.

Klearway Junk donated £1,000 to the Glasgow Homeless Street Team to support their work helping people experiencing homelessness in Glasgow.

Klearway Junk took part in the Glasgow 10K to raise money for Cancer Research and made an additional £1,000 donation ourselves.

Ever wondered where your waste actually goes after it’s collected?

Here at Klearwayjunk, we handle around 4 tonnes of waste every week and send it through the correct recycling and recovery routes. That works out at roughly 208 tonnes every year — not bad going for a wee Glasgow waste removal company!

As a SEPA-registered waste carrier, we separate different waste types, including wood, green waste, rubble, electrical items, mattresses and general waste. Everything is then taken to the correct licensed recycling or waste transfer station.

We also donate reusable furniture and household items whenever possible because if something is still too good to throw away, we’d rather see it helping somebody else.

From the start of 2027, we’ll be introducing digital waste tracking for our customers. We’re currently testing various apps to find the right one for us and, more importantly, the people and businesses who use Klearwayjunk.

This will give our customers peace of mind from collection to final drop-off. It’ll also allow us to share regular figures showing how much waste we’ve handled, where it went and what was recycled or recovered.

At Klearwayjunk, we believe in doing things properly — and being able to prove it.
